If you:
Self-Identify as Femme and are 18years or older--And
You are or have been in a relationship in which you experienced the emotional and/or physical gender transition of your butch partner to FTM, or other masculine gender variant identityS

I would like to talk with you. I am a doctoral student at the California
School of Professional Psychology, Alameda, conducting research on the
process of femme identity development, and your experience of your partner's gender transition and the impact on your life and identity.

Participation will involve one 90-minute confidential interview.
Women of Color are encouraged to participate.

Sound to me like a very smart butch trying to hook up with eighty billion femmes!
Sounds like an interesting study.. Hope this person gets a lot of response.

If this is your study... I would really like to commend you. I'm a femme dyke who for many years only dated butches and almost always butches who were FtM.. although at that time, they didn't do T and they weren't as 'out' about who they were.

Right now I'm with a partner who doesn't identify that way, so I don't have anything to add to the study.. but I always found it very interesting and the idea of potentially being with someone who might transition in our relationship terrifying for my lesbian identity.

I felt I would face the issue one day.

Good on ya... and hey.. if you meet a dozen or hundred wonderful femmes.. even better...

no.. not so much is it my study... but i agree that whomever is conducting it should be praised...

even tho u arent currently with someone who id's as trans(sexual or gender) you input into the study would probably be appreciated anyway, im sure... and i noticed that the study also included past relationships, not just current ones... as well as gender-variant, not just female to male transexuals in physical transition...
